Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Dr. Neetu:
Could you please talk us through your background and your journey?
I am a doctor with 23 years of experience in the field of aesthetics. After completing my graduation and post-graduation from BJ Medical College, I pursued a Fellowship in Aesthetic Medicine from the University of Greifswald, Germany.
My journey has also taken me beyond medicine—I was proud to be the runner-up at Gladrags Mrs. India, an experience that broadened my perspective on beauty and confidence.
Today, I serve as the Director of HM Aesthetics (Hair Masters), where we offer advanced, cutting-edge aesthetic treatments. I am also the Co-founder and Director of Yuva Cell, a pioneering skincare brand in India.
Beyond clinical practice, I am passionate about education and knowledge-sharing. Through my social media platforms @doctor.neetu, I create content on aesthetic medicine and offer professional training courses to help others excel in the field.
Recently, I was honoured with a nomination for Best Creator in Health and Wellness, which inspires me to keep educating, innovating, and transforming lives through the science and art of aesthetics.

How did you discover your passion?
My passion for aesthetics began with a personal desire—to look and feel beautiful. Over time, that desire evolved into a deeper mission: helping others achieve the same confidence and self-assurance.
After completing my medical education at BJ Medical College, I pursued a Fellowship in Aesthetic Medicine in Germany, mastering the science behind beauty. My journey also led me to the Gladrags Mrs. India pageant, where I was honoured to be the runner-up—an experience that deepened my understanding of the connection between self-care, presence, and inner confidence.
With 23 years of experience in aesthetics, I now serve as Director of HM Aesthetics, delivering advanced treatments that combine art and science. I am also the Co-founder of Yuva Cell, a skincare brand dedicated to offering effective, research-backed solutions.
For me, aesthetics is more than just appearance—it’s about empowerment. Helping people look good, feel confident, and embrace their best selves has become my lifelong mission.
Despite the challenges, what keeps you going when things get tough?
When life gets tough, I hold on to my late father’s wisdom: “Stay positive in all aspects; problems are temporary, like passing winds—they never last forever.” His words have been my anchor, giving me the grace and courage to face challenges head-on.
I believe I’ve been blessed with both talent and resilience—the ability to stand on my feet no matter what comes my way. What truly fuels me is my passion for spreading positivity, knowledge, and joy. I am deeply committed to challenging myths and stereotypes about beauty, wellness, and self-care, empowering people to see their own potential.
To me, everyone is capable of change and growth when given the right support and knowledge. Through my work, I aim to help people heal, become self-aware, and live with dignity—while inspiring them to extend the same respect to others.
My greatest joy comes from making people look and feel beautiful and seeing that priceless smile when they witness their own transformation. Every day, I find renewed energy in the results my treatments and products bring—knowing they make a real difference in people’s lives.
I dream of a day when I can share a powerful message with people across India and beyond: self-care, skincare, and holistic living are not trends—they are lifelong journeys. I am here to guide them through every step of that journey.
And through it all, I choose to live one day at a time, giving my best in every moment.
What are the three most important lessons you have learned in your life?
1) The power of a strong support system. I’ve learned that having your family by your side can make anything possible. For me, my husband, Dr. Manpal Narula and my son Joshvir Narula have been my backbone. They believed in my dreams even when the world didn’t—and stood with me through every decision, every challenge, every triumph.
2) Opportunities are divine gifts. Life presents chances in many forms—big and small. I’ve learned to recognise and grab them, because I believe that’s how the universe (and God) sends blessings to those who are ready and willing.
3) Don’t hold on to problems—solve and release. Problems are like passing winds. They come, they shake you, and then they go. Don’t react too much, don’t cling to the negativity. Treat challenges like a math problem: solve what you can, and then move forward. Because something beautiful is always waiting just ahead—and your energy deserves to flow toward that.
In your opinion, what are the keys to success?
For me, success has never been just about the titles or milestones—it’s about how much you grow and how many lives you touch along the way.
The first key is passion with a purpose. When you love what you do, it doesn’t feel like work. That passion keeps you going, and when it’s tied to a bigger purpose, it becomes unstoppable.
The second is a mix of hard work and smart work. You need to put in the hours, yes, but also learn to work wisely—finding better ways, learning from mistakes, and using your energy where it really matters.
And lastly, you need a positive mindset. Life will throw challenges, but I’ve learned to flow with them, adapt, and see every setback as a lesson.
When you combine these with humility and gratitude, success naturally follows you, instead of you chasing it.

What advice would you give students and young professionals who want to have a successful career?
To all the young dreamers of today’s world—success is no longer just about degrees or titles. It’s about how you adapt, innovate, and connect with people.
Start with passion. Find what excites you and makes you want to wake up and give your best every single day.
In today’s fast-changing world, research is your best friend. Study your field, understand trends, and most importantly, know the pulse of people. This is what helps you create something unique—something that adds real value—and then market it in a way that resonates with the masses.
Combine hard work with grilling smart hours. Work with focus, be strategic, and use your time intelligently to create maximum impact.
And remember, every day is a learning. Stay curious, keep evolving, and never shy away from challenges. They are not roadblocks; they are stepping stones to growth.
Stay humble, stay hungry, and keep creating—you’ll find that success will not just follow you, it will grow with you.
Last but not least, what about your journey makes it satisfying/exciting?
What makes my journey truly satisfying is the love and response I receive from people—not just in India but from across the world. Every review, every message, every call, and most importantly, every smile I see on someone’s face because of my work fills me with immense joy.
The recognition along the way—the nominations, awards, and appreciation—adds to that excitement. They remind me that the efforts I put in are making a difference.
But beyond all this, what excites me most is knowing that each day, my work is transforming lives, inspiring self-care, and spreading confidence. That’s the real reward that keeps me going.
